Johanne's extensive corporate experience is built on her work in both private practice and as in-house counsel for a number of Canadian and multinational corporations, including Aviva Insurance Company of Canada and E.I. du Pont Canada Company.

Johanne's practice includes advising clients on consulting agreements, services agreements including statement of work,  supply and distribution agreements and procurement agreements. She represents clients in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements, share and assets transactions and mergers and acquisitions, as well as, preparing responses to request for proposals and providing advice on regulatory matters.

Within her practice, Johanne is committed to deliver high quality professional services. She studies her clients' business and its strategic and commercial objectives and formulates legal solutions specifically tailored to her clients' needs.

As well as being actively engaged in the legal profession, Johanne is also engaged in matters that benefit the larger community. She is passionate about raising awareness about the importance of the advancement of minorities in the legal profession and is an active member of a number of professional organisations, including the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers, the Black Female Lawyers Network, the Women's Executive Network and Women in Capital Markets.
