Michael Connell has a practice that is focused on providing strategic advice and counsel to landowners, municipalities, developers and other related stakeholders regarding issues including land development approvals, environmental approvals, rural land development and resource management.

His work related to contaminated land involves a full range of services including negotiations with regulators and third parties, environmental liabilities, risk mitigation, and assistance with permits and contracts for clients across several industries. Michael understands that environmental issues are of high corporate and social concern, and he works with his clients to ensure quick resolutions for all involved.

Michael also represents his clients before the Ontario Municipal Board and Environmental Review Tribunal (ELTO).

Michael was previously Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs at a public affairs and policy firm, where he advised energy and natural resource sector clients on the full suite of federal environmental legislation and regulation. He completed his articles with the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General.
