On August 22, 2015 Michael completed a 51 Kilometer swim across Lake Ontario, a campaign he dubbed "Crossing for a Cause". The swim raised $155,000 for the Douglas Wright Foundation, a charity organization devoted to fighting melanoma in Canada.
