In recent decades, governments and other public bodies have found themselves having to balance increasing demands for access to government documents and information against concerns about the gathering and use of personal information. These demands and concerns have been addressed by access to information and privacy legislation. We have significant experience in advising governments and other public bodies in both these areas, and where such cases lead to hearings or litigation, our lawyers provide representation to our public sector clients in these matters.
