Bill has a diverse practice in corporate, commercial and not-for-profit law and has had experience in virtually all areas of those practices. His areas of practice include corporate governance, franchising, acquisitions and mergers, corporate financing, corporate restructuring, securities, competition, charities (with particular emphasis on health care entities), employment (including contracts, benefits, pensions and compensation plans), libel, and intellectual property.

Bill is currently on the board of the Royal Canadian Mint and has served as a director for several Canadian corporations, including public, private charitable and Crown corporations. This experience give him insight into the needs of his corporate clients allowing him to provide the best strategic advice and insight.

Previous directorships include, Canada Development Investment Corporation (Chair), Canada Hibernia Holding Corporation (Chair), National Ballet of Canada, National Ballet Foundation (Secretary), Providence Centre, Chapters Inc., Keg Restaurants Inc. and Clean Environment Mutual Funds Ltd.
