Partners Janet Bobechko and Jeff Scorgie will attend CANECT 2023, which will be held in Vaughan, Ontario on May 9th-11th, 2023. For over 30 years, CANECT courses have met the needs of Canada's environmental managers and professionals.

On Day 2 of CANECT 2023, Janet will serve as the course chair for "Ontario’s Excess Soils Regulation and Contaminated Sites", which provides an essential update to enable consultants, governments, proponents, developers, municipalities, environmental to successfully navigate practical issues arising from the new rules for excess soil, emerging contaminants, contaminated sites, risk assessment and liability. Jeff will speak on the panel during the portion, "Excess soil management in Ontario: The reality of implementation".

On Day 3, Janet will speak during "Environmental Management Systems: The Journey from EMS to Environmental, Social, Governance", which investigates the environmental aspects, impacts, risks and opportunities associated with making an EMS more resilient.

She will also chair "Dealing with Environmental Emergencies and Spills" on Day 3, which will cover the scope of responsibilities, measures to increase resiliency, how to avoid liability, and how to encourage proactive best practices in the context of environmental emergencies and spills.
