General Counsel and the Board of Directors
WeirFoulds LLP with the ACC Ontario Chapter will be hosting their annual seminar for in-house corporate counsel.
General Counsel and the Board of Directors
*This program has been accredited by the Law Society of Upper Canada for 1.5 Professionalism Hours*
Program Description: When reporting to a board of directors, what are its expectations of general counsel? Recent survey results reflect tension between general counsel’s increased role as a strategic advisory member to the executive management team, and his or her existing independent role of providing legal advice to the board. At this seminar, we will discuss all of the issues that impact on the relationship between general counsel and the board, drawing on real-life experiences from industry panel members.
