“Have you registered with FINTRAC yet?” – Canadian MSB Association (CMSBA)

Partner Susan Han will take part in "Most PSPs may now be MSBs! Have you registered with FINTRAC yet?", a free virtual session being hosted by the Canadian MSB Association on August 25, from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.

This session will cover new regulations that were introduced by the Department of Finance on April 27, 2022, which specifically target PSPs (Payment Service Providers) and crowdfunding platforms. As a result of these regulations, all PSPs (with very few exceptions) must register with FINTRAC.

Topics covered during the session will include addressing why these regulations were passed and why now, the consequences of PSPs not registering with FINTRAC, the scope of responsibility involved, suggested steps to take, and more.
