OBA Municipal Law Program – 5 Minute Advocacy for Municipal & Planning Lawyers

WeirFoulds Partner Denise Baker will speak at the Canadian Bar Association Municipal Law Program, 5 Minute Advocacy for Municipal & Planning Lawyers. Denise will speak on the topic, “Advocacy in Writing”.
Denise’s topic will include:
- How can a written submission support your oral presentation?
- Strategies for writing in the best way possible for your audience (staff, councillors, etc.) When is a written submission enough?
- When is it not enough?
- Q&A with attendees
This program will help attendees to improve their preparation and presentation skills and learn how to manage client expectations. They will hear directly from municipal authorities and staff on how to make the most of your five minutes.
