OPPI19: Beyond25 – Conference
OPPI is pleased to welcome members and stakeholders to the Beanfield Centre in the City of Toronto for OPPI19: Beyond25 from October 1-3, 2019. This year is a landmark year for Ontario’s professional planners. They are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Registered Professional Planner (RPP) designation in Ontario; the first jurisdiction in Canada to offer it! To commemorate this significant milestone, OPPI is facing change head on and guiding Ontario into the next quarter century by exploring the key issues that reach beyond borders – Uneven Growth, Climate Change and Technology.
WeirFoulds Partner Denise Baker will speak at the conference on Bill 108, the More Homes, More Choice Act, 2019, covering everything from the planning appeals process to the implications of development charges, and regulations as they may be released. She will focus on how the legislation will be implemented through regulation and understanding the practical issues facing planners. The session will be held on October 1 at 11 a.m.
