Daniel Tessaro is an associate in the Corporate Practice Group at WeirFoulds. Daniel represents a broad range of private and public companies, both established and emerging, in various industries.
Prior to joining WeirFoulds, Daniel was an Executive Director in the legal group of a Canadian bank. In this role, Daniel managed a team and worked on derivatives, financial services, and securities law matters including derivatives documentation, prime brokerage agreements, futures agreements, credit agreements, agreements relating to OTC derivatives, clearing documentation, ISDA master agreements, segregated collateral arrangements, master repurchase agreements, and normal course issuer bids.
Daniel completed his Juris Doctor at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2012. Prior to law school, Daniel obtained his honours Bachelor of Business Administration, specializing in finance, from Wilfrid Laurier University. During this time he worked as a securities-loan trader for Deutsche Bank Securities and as a consultant for Anheuser-Busch InBev. Daniel has an extensive background in finance and has completed the Canadian Securities Course and Derivatives Fundamentals Course at the Canadian Securities Institute.
Daniel sits on the board of the Kiwanis Club of Toronto Foundation, a Toronto-based charity, and recently volunteered at St. Stephen’s Community House, the 2018 Kiwanis Music Festival, and ‘Tokens 4 Change’ for Youth Without Shelter.
