WeirFoulds Boosts its Corporate Practice with the Addition of Scot Patriquin

WeirFoulds is pleased to announce that Scot Patriquin has joined the firm as a partner in the Corporate Group with a practice focused on corporate/commercial, intellectual property, and tax law.

Scot has built a strong reputation for effective client service through his creative and entrepreneurial approach to the practice. Prior to his arrival at WeirFoulds, Scot was the founder of one of the first Canadian law firms dedicated exclusively to servicing closely held private companies. He acts for a varied roster of clients, including early stage and mid-tier private companies across several industries, and companies based in the United States that are doing business in Canada.

“I recognized right away that WeirFoulds is a firm that understands the importance of creativity and adaptability in meeting the evolving needs of its clients” said Scot Patriquin. “I look forward to working among excellent new colleagues in continuing and growing my practice.”

Scot was named a “Corporate Lawyer to Watch” in the 2016 Lexpert Guide to the Leading US/Canada Cross Border Corporate Lawyers in Canada.

Scot is a registered trademark agent (2006), and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2003, having completed his JD in 2002 from the University of Toronto.
