Viktoria Makarov is a Law Clerk (Paralegal) in the Regulatory Practice Group at WeirFoulds LLP.

Prior to joining WeirFoulds, Viktoria was an integral part of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, where she held the position of Professional Standards Coordinator with a focus on Investigations & Prosecutions of complaints of professional misconduct made against members, students, and firms on behalf of the Professional Conduct Committee. Viktoria supported prosecutions by meticulously drafting and preparing various legal documents for counsel review. She also oversaw the department’s annual budget, ensuring accurate monthly financial reporting, and undertaking re-forecasting exercises for precise financial projections. Viktoria was also responsible for performing statistical analysis of KPIs for both internal and external reporting.

Along with Viktoria’s regulatory experience, she worked as a Law Clerk at a boutique Tax Litigation Firm, focusing on CRA submissions, with a hand in the preparation of a range of legal documents including pleadings and motions for the Tax Court of Canada.

Viktoria is fully recognized as a Notary Public and Commissioner of Oaths by the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, and is a licensed paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario.
