WeirFoulds is seeking a junior associate lawyer to join our thriving Commercial Litigation Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have:

  • One or two years of commercial litigation law experience; exposure to leasing matters would be an asset
  • Strong technical, legal, research and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work with lawyers at all levels and be a team player
  • Able to balance competing demands as well as being self-motivated, innovative and flexible
  • Ability to manage document intensive files
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • In good standing with the Law Society of Ontario

The successful candidate will work on a variety of challenging, sophisticated, and diverse litigation cases representing a broad range of clients, including providing advice to universities on research, academic and disciplinary matters and risk management issues.

  • 4-6 years of commercial litigation experience working on complex litigation files (year of call 2018, 2019 or 2020)
