Construction

Our construction law team works as project lawyers – we are involved in construction projects from their conception to their completion. We prepare and negotiate the necessary design and construction agreements and work closely with the project team – the consultants, project managers and contractors – to guide any type of commercial or infrastructure project through to a successful completion. We act for architects, builders, developers and trades.

We have extensive experience acting for clients on a wide range of construction projects both public and private sector, including rapid transit projects, recreation centres, and high-rise residential construction. We know what to anticipate and what to avoid in all aspects of the construction cycle, including procurement, financing, design, construction and close-out.

If disputes arise along the way, we draw on our extensive experience in adjudication, mediation and arbitration as well as litigation to obtain a timely and effective resolution to the dispute.

If you would like to speak to one of our lawyers, please contact the Construction Practice Group’s Chair, Glenn Ackerley.
