WeirFoulds LLP is delighted to announce that our Partner Derry Millar has been chosen to receive a 2014 Law Society Medal. The Medal was established in 1985 by the Law Society of Upper Canada to honour outstanding lawyers in Ontario who provide exceptional service, whether in a particular area of practice, in the academic sphere, or in some other professional capacity.
Derry Millar is a consummate advocate with a broad civil litigation and administrative law practice. He was elected as a Law Society bencher for four consecutive terms, beginning in 1995. From 2008–2010, Derry was the Treasurer of the Law Society of Upper Canada and in 2001 was inducted as a Fellow to the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Derry and seven other Law Society award winners will be honoured at the Law Society’s annual ceremony at Osgoode Hall on May 21, 2014.
Congratulations, Derry, on this well-deserved honour.
