WeirFoulds is pleased to announce that Partner, Caroline Abela, has been appointed to the role of Member-at-Large of the Canadian Bar Association’s Wills, Estates and Trusts section executive.
As a Member-at-Large, Caroline will help to analyze issues concerning estates and trusts, develop tools and resources, participate in committees, and contribute to CBA professional development and advocacy work in this area of law. She will also provide valuable leadership and insight to serve the CBA members’ professional needs.
Caroline is a highly active member of the legal community in Canada and the U.S. This past year she acted as Chair of the Ontario Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates section and is currently Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s International Private Client Committee. She also regularly participates in various speaking engagements for The Law Society of Ontario (LSO) and The Advocates’ Society.
