Ellen Dalicandro is the Director of Legal Talent at WeirFoulds.

Ellen is responsible for the firm’s legal talent management strategy, working closely with the senior leadership team to advance all aspects of professional development and engagement of legal professionals at WeirFoulds. Ellen is responsible for all aspects of the student, associate, and income partner programs including performance management, career development, mentoring, and training.

Prior to joining WeirFoulds, Ellen worked in talent management at a national law firm. Before transitioning to talent management, Ellen was a corporate lawyer where her practice focused on securities, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate law. Ellen obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa.

Ellen is an active member of Dreams Take Flight (Toronto) and the National Association for Law Placement (NALP). She is currently the Co-Chair of the Canadian NALP Winter Meeting Working Group.
