Raj Kehar is a Partner at WeirFoulds LLP and co-chair of the Municipal, Planning and Land Development Practice Group.
His practice involves all aspects of land use planning and development law. He represents both public and private sector clients. Prior to joining WeirFoulds, Raj practised at a boutique municipal, planning and development law firm. Raj was also formerly in-house counsel on land use planning and development matters with a major Greater Toronto Area municipality. Raj is therefore uniquely positioned to understand land use planning and development matters from both a public and private sector perspective and he brings that insight to resolving his clients’ problems.
Raj helps his clients navigate the land development process. He provides strategic advice, opines on land use planning and development issues and has experience negotiating and drafting various land development agreements. Raj regularly appears before the Ontario Land Tribunal, the Toronto Local Appeal Body and municipal committees and councils.
Raj is a frequent speaker on land use planning and development issues in Ontario and is actively involved with a number of professional associations. Notably, Raj has served as Chair of the Ontario Bar Association’s Municipal Law Section.
