Sanaya Mistry is an Associate in the Wills, Trusts and Estates Practice Group at WeirFoulds LLP.

Sanaya’s practice focuses on estate and trust planning as well as estate and trust administration. She advises clients on their estate planning needs and has experience preparing complex wills, powers of attorney for property, powers of attorney for personal care, and trusts as well as advises executors, trustees and beneficiaries with respect to estate administration matters including applications for a certificate of appointment (also known as probate).

Sanaya has written articles in the area of trusts and estates, including articles for the Ontario Bar Association and Thomson Reuters Taxes & Wealth Management and has presented on trusts and estates related topics. Currently, Sanaya serves as co-chair of the Junior Trusts and Estates Practitioners group (which is a group of lawyers who practice in the area of trusts and estates including estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation in the Greater Toronto Area), is a student member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is currently working towards her internationally recognized Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation.

Prior to joining WeirFoulds, Sanaya worked as a senior trust officer at a national trust company and, earlier in her career, she practised in the area of estate litigation at a leading estate litigation boutique in Toronto.

Outside of her legal practice, Sanaya is a foodie who enjoys supporting local restaurants and an animal lover.
