WeirFoulds associate Jonah Waxman appointed to The Advocates’ Society’s Mid-Career Advocates’ Standing Committee

WeirFoulds is pleased to announce that Associate Jonah Waxman has been appointed to The Advocates’ Society’s Mid-Career Advocates’ Standing Committee (MASC).

Established as an official Standing Committee in 2018, MASC has a mandate to promote the interests of mid-career advocates within The Advocates’ Society. It does so by fostering networking and engagement among members, developing opportunities for the participation of mid-carer members in The Advocates’ Society, and promoting access to justice initiatives, pro bono initiatives, leadership, and career and business development programs.

Throughout his career, Jonah has appeared on contentious motions and applications before the Ontario Court of Appeal, Ontario Divisional Court of Justice and Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Because of his extensive litigation experience, Jonah has conducted mock trial demonstrations before the legal community, and presided over advocacy seminars arranged by the Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association, and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.

For 60 years, The Advocates’ Society has served as a trusted resource for thousands of advocates across Canada, acting as a nationwide network, offering professional development conferences and educational programs, and fostering an active community of mentors.
