WeirFoulds is proud to support the Osgoode Women’s Network (OWN), Fourth Annual OWN Your Career networking event taking place on February 25, 2016. The guest of honour this year is Justice Kelly P. Wright.
OWN Your Career is designed to give OWN members a chance to meet potential mentors, and create relationships with practitioners, establishing a network early on in their careers as lawyers. This event will give students an opportunity to use the skills they have built to meet practitioners, and begin to build a strong support system which is fundamental to the retention of women in law.
Osgoode Women’s Network is a student organization at Osgoode Hall Law School that offers the opportunity to be active in the student community, with a focus on professional and personal development. OWN was founded in 2009 in support of Ontario’s Justicia Project.
