WeirFoulds Partner Caroline Abela elected as a Director of The Advocates’ Society

WeirFoulds is pleased to announce that Partner Caroline Abela has been elected as a Director of The Advocates’ Society. Caroline continues WeirFoulds’ long-standing history of its litigation partners serving as board members of the Society. Her election comes after the ending of the four-year term of Partner Marie-Andrée Vermette. The Board of Directors is responsible for managing and supervising the activities and affairs of The Advocates’ Society.

Caroline specializes in complex business and estate litigation matters. She represents clients ranging from large corporations and institutions to small business owners and professionals. Caroline has been recognized as a leading practitioner in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory for many years and Who’s Who Legal.

The Advocates’ Society was established in 1963 to ensure the presence of a courageous and independent bar, and the maintenance of the role of the advocate in the administration of justice. It is a not-for-profit association of judges, lawyers and advocates, and Canada’s premier advocacy skills training provider.

We congratulate Caroline on this well-deserved achievement.
