On February 10, 2021, District Ventures Capital announced that it has made an undisclosed amount equity investment in Lower Valley Beverage Company Ltd., the maker of Sapsucker.
WeirFoulds acted as counsel to Lower Valley Beverage Company in the completion of the equity raise, with a team led by Andrian Lozinski, with assistance from Ryan Morris, Megan Mah, Ruth De Sousa, Nevethan Balendra (articling student) and Abby Benattar (articling student).
Lower Valley Beverage Company is an organic sparkling tree water company. The company produces Sapsucker, a line of plant-based, sustainably harvested beverages made from Canadian maple trees.
