WeirFoulds supports hurricane relief efforts in the Caribbean

WeirFoulds is deeply saddened by the recent devastation in the Caribbean in the wake of Hurricanes Irma and Maria.

Our Caribbean practice group works in and travels to a number of the affected jurisdictions, including the British Virgin Islands, Antigua and Barbuda, and Dominica.  Many of the Caribbean practice group’s colleagues, friends and clients are among those who have been affected by the havoc wreaked by the hurricanes.

WeirFoulds has donated to relief efforts spearheaded by the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Bar Association and GlobalMedic.

Part of WeirFoulds’ contribution to GlobalMedic’s relief efforts included lawyers and staff volunteering their time to assist the charity with packing emergency aid kits destined for regions affected by Hurricanes Irma and Maria.

The OECS Bar Association is an organization of legal practitioners and representative Bar Associations across the Eastern Caribbean. The OECS Bar Association has been fundraising to lend support to jurisdictions that have been impacted by Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and are in need of resources.

GlobalMedic is a Canadian charity that has been working to support relief efforts in the Caribbean following Hurricanes Irma and Maria. To learn more about GlobalMedic’s relief efforts in the Caribbean and beyond, please visit their website by clicking here.

WeirFoulds extends thoughts and condolences to all those affected by this tragedy.
