WeirFoulds Tax Lawyer Michael Ding elected Incoming Vice Chair of CTF Toronto Young Practitioners Steering Committee

WeirFoulds is pleased to announce that Tax Lawyer Michael Ding has been elected as the incoming Vice Chair of the Toronto Chapter of the Canadian Tax Foundation’s Young Practitioners Steering Committee.

Founded in 1945, the Canadian Tax Foundation provides a forum for its membership consisting of over 10,000 lawyers, accountants, academics, and other tax professionals to work together for the betterment of the Canadian tax system and the tax profession. The Young Practitioner’s Steering Committee is comprised of tax professionals in their first ten years of practice and is responsible for governing the Toronto Young Practitioners Group.  In the role of Vice Chair, Michael will help guide programming and engagement for emerging tax professionals across the Toronto area, contributing to the development of the next generation of leaders in the field.

Michael Ding is Tax Lawyer in the Tax Group at WeirFoulds LLP with a practice that focuses on various areas of domestic and international taxation planning, advice, and dispute resolution. Prior to joining WeirFoulds, Michael was Counsel at the Department of Justice Canada, representing the Crown before the Tax Court of Canada, Federal Court of Canada, Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Michael also clerked at the Tax Court of Canada in Ottawa.
