WeirFoulds is pleased to announce that as of January 1, 2026, Michael Ding has been promoted to Partner in the firm’s Tax Law Group.
Michael’s practice focuses on tax advisory and dispute resolution. Prior to joining WeirFoulds, Michael served as a judicial law clerk at the Tax Court of Canada and Crown Counsel at the Department of Justice Canada. Michael is Vice-Chair and incoming Chair of the Canadian Tax Foundation Young Practitioner Steering Committee in Toronto and sits on the OBA Taxation Law Section Executive Committee. He has also been featured in numerous publications including the Canadian Tax Foundation’s Canadian Tax Journal, Law360 Canada, Thomson Reuters Canada’s Taxes and Wealth Management, and the American Bar Association’s Year In Review for International Tax. Michael is recognized by Best Lawyers Ones to Watch in Canada for Tax Law.
