Chantal deSereville – Municipal, Planning and Land Development
Chantal assists both private entities and public bodies in navigating municipal, land use planning, environmental, public, and administrative law issues. In addition to helping clients obtain and respond to development applications and appeals, Chantal provides legal opinions on planning policy matters and assists clients with a variety of court applications and provincial offences proceedings. Chantal frequently appears at the Ontario Land Tribunal and has appeared before all levels of Court in Ontario.
Kelsey Ivory – Regulatory
Kelsey specializes in public law and civil litigation focusing on professional self-regulation and capacity and discipline, human rights, judicial review of government decision-making, and access to information and privacy. She provides strategic advice to industry, health, and social service professional regulators. She appears regularly as counsel before administrative tribunals and appellate courts in many aspects of public law.
Emma Romano – Commercial Litigation
Emma’s practice includes media and defamation and aviation law, as well as commercial and general civil litigation. She also practises in the areas of information technology and intellectual property law with a focus on high tech and Internet-based companies. Emma has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, as well as the Federal Court of Canada. She is experienced in drafting pleadings and affidavits, conducting complex research, and advising clients on novel matters.
Jonah Waxman – Wills, Trusts & Estates
Jonah has appeared on contentious motions and applications before the Ontario Court of Appeal, Ontario Divisional Court of Justice and Ontario Superior Court of Justice. He has also conducted multi-week trials before both judges and juries, as well as before various administrative tribunals. He has conducted mock trial demonstrations before the legal community, and presided over advocacy seminars arranged by the Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association, and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
