WeirFoulds welcomes two new associates to the firm

WeirFoulds is pleased to welcome two former law students to the firm as associates in the following practice areas:

Shadé Edwards – Commercial Litigation

Shadé Edwards is an Associate in our Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Before joining the firm as a lawyer, Shadé developed her legal skills with WeirFoulds as both an Articling Student and a Summer Student.

Shadé received her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law, where she was the Co-President of the Black Law Students’ Association, a First-Year Nelligan Moot Participant, an equity peer mentor, a research assistant, and a member of the AÉCLSS Joint Equity and Advocacy Committee.

Amir Sodagar – Construction

Amir Sodagar is an Associate in our Construction Practice Group. Before joining the firm as a lawyer, Amir developed his legal expertise with WeirFoulds as both an Articling Student and a Summer Student. Amir received his Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law, where he graduated Cum Laude and was awarded placements on the Dean’s Honour List throughout law school.

Prior to his legal career, Amir worked as a consultant at an international earth engineering firm for more than 6 years. His practical construction and environmental knowledge stems from this experience, where he travelled across Canada to conduct and manage myriad geotechnical, hydrogeological, and environmental assessments and contaminated site remediation.

We are excited to have Shadé and Amir join our growing team of lawyers!
