Partner James Kosa will be speaking at the Ontario Human Rights and Accommodation Conference, hosted by Lancaster House. The conference will take place from April 30 to May 1, 2026, with James participating on the first day in the panel Uses and Abuses of Modern Technology, a scenario based discussion focusing on social media, employee monitoring, and artificial intelligence in the workplace.
The panel will examine practical and emerging challenges for employers and unions, including limits on employee surveillance, the use of AI in hiring and management decisions, and how recent cases have balanced privacy rights, freedom of expression, and discrimination claims. Through real world scenarios, attendees will gain insight into when technology supports productivity and inclusion, and when it risks crossing into unreasonable or discriminatory practices.
