Partners Brian Kuchar and Max Gennis will present a two-part session at PM Springfest, taking place on April 23, 2026 at Toronto Congress Centre. They will provide property managers, owners, and industry professionals with a practical overview of recent changes to construction law in Ontario and their implications for active and future projects.

In the first half of the session, Brian and Max will examine key amendments to the Construction Act that came into effect on January 1, including changes to the distribution of holdback and the expanded use of adjudication as a tool to resolve construction disputes during a project. Attendees will gain insight into how these changes affect project oversight, cash flow, and risk management from an owner’s perspective.

The second half of the session will focus on recent updates to the CCDC suite of standard form contracts commonly used across the construction industry. The discussion will highlight what has changed, why it matters, and how property managers can navigate these updates to better protect their organizations and support successful project delivery.
