WeirFoulds partner Glenn Ackerley is featured in Daily Commercial News in an article about the 2017 Construct Canada CEO Power Breakfast.
At the breakfast, Glenn co-moderated a panel on reforms to Ontario’s Construction Lien Act, with Provincial government lien act advisor Bruce Reynolds.
Glenn is a member of the Expert Panel’s Advisory Group on Bill 142, An Act to amend the Construction Lien Act, and has been heavily involved in the reform process.
The third reading of Bill 142 was completed on December 6 and passed with a unanimous vote. Work to create regulations under the new law could begin in the new year.
