Anagha Nandakumaran is a Partner in the Technology & Intellectual Property Practice Group at WeirFoulds LLP.
Anagha’s expertise spans a broad range of technology and corporate-commercial transactions. She advises clients in both public and private sectors, including established and emerging organizations, on matters such as complex IT and non-IT outsourcings (including digital transformation and consulting), cloud services such as software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), infrastructure as a services (IaaS), and anything as a service (XaaS), emerging technologies, managed services, software licensing, strategic partnerships, and the technology aspects of M&A deals.
Before joining WeirFoulds, Anagha practised as a Senior Associate at a global law firm with a strong focus on technology and commercial law. Prior to that, she worked at a Band 1 Chambers-ranked Indian firm, advising clients in banking, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, technology, and manufacturing on technology and corporate matters. Her experience also includes significant in-house roles – managing a corporate-commercial practice with a focus on technology law and serving as Corporate Counsel at a Fortune 200 IT services and consulting company.
Beyond her practice, Anagha contributes to the profession as the Vice Chair of the Ontario Bar Association’s Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law Section. She is also an active member of the Canadian Technology Law Association (CAN-TECH) and a frequent speaker on topics relating to technology contracting and negotiation, artificial intelligence adoption and governance, data sovereignty, and emerging technologies.
