Matt Gaulton is an Associate in the Construction Practice Group at WeirFoulds LLP.
Before joining as a lawyer, Matt developed his legal expertise at WeirFoulds as an Articling Student and Summer Student. He received his Juris Doctor from Western University, where he was a prominent figure in The Mining Law Society of Western Law, The Privacy Law Society of Western Law, as well as The Construction and Infrastructure Law Association. He was awarded the Dean Ivan C. Rand Award for Leadership and Academic Standing in 2025.
Matt currently serves as Member at Large for the Ontario Bar Association’s Insolvency Section Executive and has been involved with the OBA since 2025.
Prior to his legal career, Matt was engaged in major fundraising and support efforts for Hamilton’s unhoused community and founded the action group Helping the Hammer.
