Nikolas Koschany is an Associate in the Municipal, Planning & Land Development Practice Group and Expropriation Practice Group at WeirFoulds LLP. Their practice focuses on land use planning law, expropriation law, municipal law, and administrative law.

Nikolas has represented clients before the Ontario Land Tribunal, the Toronto Local Appeal Body, the Ontario Divisional Court, municipal councils, and committees of adjustment. They are adept at navigating appeals under all planning and development legislation and handling judicial reviews related to municipal planning decisions. Nikolas maintains a diverse practice within both the City of Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.

Before joining WeirFoulds, Nikolas was an Associate at a boutique Toronto-based law firm with a focus on land development and associated litigation matters. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Nikolas worked as an urban planner in both Canada and England.

Nikolas is the newsletter editor for the Ontario Bar Association Municipal Law Section and frequently contributes articles and edits publications.
