WeirFoulds is pleased to announce that six of the firm’s lawyers have been elected to the Ontario Bar Association’s Law Section executives for the 2025-2026 term, commencing September 1, 2025.
Michael Ding, Associate, has been elected to the Taxation Law Section as the Newsletter Editor. Michael’s practice revolves around advising on various tax and dispute resolution issues. Michael works with a variety of clients including domestic and international businesses, public sector entities, trusts, and high net worth individuals. Michael also serves as Vice Chair of the Canadian Tax Foundation Toronto Young Practitioner Group Steering Committee and has been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch as an upcoming leading practitioner in tax law.
Robert Eisenberg, Partner, has been elected as a Member-at-Large to the Real Property Law Section. Robert is a commercial leasing lawyer who acts for landlords and tenants on retail, office, industrial, and infrastructure leasing matters across Canada. He is valued for his ability to “cut through the noise” and find creative solutions to his clients’ problems and help them get the deal done quickly. Robert also recently served as Chair of the 2025 ICSC+ Canadian Law Conference and is a sought-after speaker in the commercial leasing industry.
Narmada Gunawardana, Associate, has been elected to the Municipal Law Section as the Public Affairs Liaison. Narmada works for both private and public sector clients and provides legal opinions in matters related to various aspects of land use planning and municipal law. She regularly appears before the Ontario Land Tribunal.
Nikolas Koschany, Associate, has been elected to as the Newsletter Editor for both the Administrative Law Section and the Municipal Law Section. Nikolas specializes in land use planning, expropriation, municipal, and administrative law, and they advocate before the Ontario Divisional Court, the Ontario Land Tribunal, the Toronto Local Appeal Body, municipal councils, and committees of adjustment, securing planning approvals, gaining compensation on expropriation matters, and navigating appeals and judicial reviews under all planning and development legislation.
Brian Kuchar, Partner, has been elected to the Construction and Infrastructure Law Section as a Public Affairs Liaison. With a diverse litigation practice that includes commercial and civil matters, Brian works with a variety of clients on matters involving construction liens, deficiency claims, commercial leasing, and employment law.
Natasha Novac, Associate, has been elected to as a Member-at-Large to the Health Law Section. Natasha’s practice focuses on public and administrative and civil litigation, with an emphasis on the prosecution of professional misconduct matters and the defence of regulators and colleges in civil and human rights proceedings. She appears regularly before the disciplinary committees of regulators and colleges and all levels of court in Ontario.
As members of their respective OBA Law Section executives, our lawyers will play an important role in shaping the future of their practice areas, in addition to executing specifics projects as assigned by the Chair, organizing specialized programming on current issues, advocating for streamlined procedures, producing informative articles that keep section members up to date.
