WeirFoulds welcomes four new associates to multiple practice groups

WeirFoulds is pleased to welcome four new associates to the firm in the following practice areas:

Kelin Algayer – Municipal, Planning and Land Development

Kelin Algayer is an Associate in the Municipal, Planning and Land Development Practice Group. Kelin previously gained experience at WeirFoulds as both an Articling Student and a Summer Student.

Kelin practised law in Brazil earlier in her career, where she gained extensive experience in litigation, as well as in environmental, administrative and public law. Prior to joining WeirFoulds, Kelin was a Senior Associate Lawyer at a leading environmental law boutique located in Sao Paulo.

Gavin Fior – Regulated Professions & Industries

Gavin Fior is an Associate in the Regulated Professions & Industries Practice Group.

Before joining the firm as a lawyer, Gavin developed his legal skills with WeirFoulds as both an Articling Student and a Summer Student. Prior to this, he worked as an Advisor for a leading financial services organization.

Dalal Hjjih – Commercial Litigation

Dalal Hjjih is an Associate in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Before joining the firm as a lawyer, Dalal honed her legal skills with WeirFoulds as both an Articling Student and a Summer Student.

During her time as a law student, she worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Windsor, and served as the Founder & Co-President of the university’s Middle Eastern Law Students Association, the Chairperson of the Justice at Work Committee, the Senior Editor of the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues, an intake support worker at Community Legal Aid, and a Gale Cup Moot Participant.

Adam Varro – Commercial Litigation

Adam Varro is an Associate in the Commercial Litigation Group, practising in the areas of Aviation and Media & Defamation litigation. Adam’s practice includes acting for air carriers in commercial and liability claims and defending Canadian media organizations in liability and defamation claims.

Prior to joining WeirFoulds, Adam was a litigation associate at a full-service Toronto-based law firm, where his practice focused on automotive law, licencing and regulatory disputes. Adam sits as a Director on the Board of the Fair Change Legal Clinic and is the Board Chair of Adam House, a refugee resettlement home.
